Problem

The co-founders of [cu]health recognised a gap in the market while running a successful Sydney-based healthcare practice. They saw the need for a holistic telehealth platform that could support businesses in improving employee wellbeing by offering virtual GP, psychology, and nutrition services. The financial impact was clear: organisations were incurring an average preventable cost of $12,000 per employee per year due to unmet healthcare needs within their workforce.

Solution

From the very beginning, we partnered with [cu]health as their technology partner to co-create a comprehensive virtual healthcare platform. Our role was to integrate multiple third-party services into a seamless interface that catered to both employers and employees, ensuring only essential features were built to distinguish their offering. As the business evolves, we continue to support product development, including the introduction of pay-as-you-go memberships, co-marketing opportunities with consumer brands, and expansion into international markets such as New Zealand and Singapore. The product suite now includes patient and healthcare professional (HCP) web apps, patient-facing iOS and Android apps, and a headquarters management web app for administration, user provisioning, and customer support.

Results

The partnership has led to a rapidly growing customer base, successful investment rounds, and the ability to offset a portion of development costs through the Australian R&D program. As a testament to the platform's success, [cu]health's co-founders have shifted their focus entirely to the telehealth business, opting to sell their original brick-and-mortar healthcare practice to concentrate on this venture.
