Matching toys to a child’s therapy goals is now easier than ever
Problem
The founder of CPToys, an occupational therapist, identified a need to enhance therapeutic outcomes for children with cerebral palsy. The challenge was making it easier for therapists to prescribe and parents to buy (and trade) toys that could be integrated into a child’s therapy routine at home. There were no existing solutions that looked at the problem from this practical point of view.
Solution
We partnered with the founder as he completed the Remarkable accelerator program and collaborated to transform CPToys from a standard e-commerce store into a dynamic, multi-sided portal. This new platform catered to both therapists and families, making it simpler for therapists to prescribe and for families to access the right therapeutic tools. Additionally, we worked with the founder to implement a toy swap feature, encouraging parents to support each other and help reduce waste by exchanging toys.
Results
The reimagined platform has attracted a growing customer base, including families and therapists across Australia, the UK, EU, and Canada. The therapeutic success of the platform has also led to multiple successful grant applications, further validating the positive impact of the CPToys approach.
